What an exciting weekend for the SV Zeißig e-youth! At the PT Sports Germany Masters in Frankfurt am Main, the team thrilled the spectators with a strong performance and secured 5th place out of a total of 164 participating teams. They really put in a lot of effort and made a big statement.
However, the start was anything but ideal. Despite the strong competition, the team had a difficult start and was defeated 4-0 by Wolfenbüttel in the first round. But this was no reason for the young kickers to give up. With a lot of fighting spirit and team spirit, they not only achieved impressive victories against the teams from Göttingen and Nuremberg, but also managed to achieve a draw that catapulted them into the final round.
The path to the final
On Sunday it was all about everything. In a close match, the Zeißiger Kickers narrowly missed out on making it to the semi-finals, but were able to celebrate their excellent 5th place. A great success for the team and proof that hard work pays off.
Those responsible at SV Zeißig are proud of what their protégés have achieved. Thanks not only to the small series starters on the pitch, but also to all the helpers who contributed to the success of the tournament. A special thank you goes to the Hoyerswerda utilities (VBH) for their active support, as well as to the bus driver who brought the team safely to Frankfurt and back.
An outstanding event
The event, which brought together a total of 164 teams of applicants, was highly praised by fans and those responsible. Such tournaments are not only a great opportunity for teams to compete at a higher level, but also great fun for everyone involved. At a time when children and young people are increasingly sitting in front of screens, it is crucial to offer them these active and team-oriented experiences.
