In Chemnitz, preparations for the Christmas market are in full swing. It starts on November 28, 2025, and the city is expecting a lively participation, especially because of the final of the European Capital of Culture, which will attract many visitors. The Christmas market will have a total of 138 stalls, which will be open until 10 p.m. on the first two days of opening to offer guests a particularly festive experience. This year there is a red children's cup for little visitors that shows the popular Abrafaxes in front of the iconic Karl Marx head. Adults can look forward to an ocher yellow cup decorated with white lettering and a depiction of the Christmas market pyramid.
A few days earlier, on November 9, 2025, Munich also presented its Christmas markets. The Munich Christmas market, which takes place in the heart of the city at Marienplatz, opens on November 24th and remains open until December 24th. Here you can enjoy the traditional Bavarian atmosphere and enjoy a large nativity play. There is also a children's workshop where the little ones can get creative.

The diverse events in Munich also include the Tollwood Winter Festival, which will take place from November 25th to December 23rd on the Oktoberfest grounds. In a relaxed atmosphere, visitors can discover organic delicacies and handicrafts and enjoy one or two live acts.
