Events in the park railway
That will happen soonChemnitz Balloon Festivalin front of the door, which is organized by the park railway and the Tutti Frutti team. The event will take place from August 22nd to 24th, 2025 and promises a lot of fun. There is a varied program for the whole family over the three days. On Friday it starts at 3:00 p.m. with live music by DJ Stani, while the Küchwaldwiese has music and presentation from 2:00 p.m. Highlights include international model balloons and the live band “Thomson Five” on Friday evenings. The park railway is fully involved when the hot air balloons rise into the sky!
On Saturday, guests can expect numerous attractions with dance performances and a model show, followed by the big balloon glow in the evening. A festive fireworks display rounds off the weekend. Don’t forget: All activities with hot air balloons are weather dependent!
The Cosmonaut Center
A visit to Chemnitz wouldn't be complete without a detourCosmonaut Center “Sigmund Jähn”. Here the curious can immerse themselves in the world of space travel.
