EHV Aue dominates Glauchau and celebrates a perfect start to the season!
An exciting handball game on July 19, 2025 not only produced EHV Aue as the winner against HC Glauchau/Meerane, but also as a strong team that is approaching the new season with commitment. With an impressive 41:22 win after a 17:12 half-time lead, the Auers showed that they are ready to take the point. All players were used and coach Uwe Jungandreas expressed his satisfaction with the performance and the few technical errors. “We are enjoying playing handball again,” explained Jungandreas, who praised his boys’ motivation and team spirit.
Particularly noteworthy is the performance of Alexander Döbler, who played a key role in the victory with eight goals. But other players such as Ala I Sanchez and Pfeil, who each scored six goals, also contributed to the success. Bones follows in the list of goalscorers with five goals (four of them from seven meters) and Pereira, who also contributed five goals. The other goal scorers were Paraschiv, Simenas, J. Swat, Roch, Hinz and Hofmann, all of whom contributed their part to the great victory.

Injury factors in handball
After this brilliant start to the season, it is important to pay attention to the safety of the players. Anton Briest (knee) and Armis Priskus (muscle) were injured, but it is important to act preventively to minimize the risk of injury. Experts recommend wearing special indoor sports shoes that offer optimal support and prevent slipping. A mouthguard is particularly advisable when playing and training to prevent dental injuries. Goalkeepers and players should also be informed about the use of elbow pads and other protective measures to avoid injuries when hitting the hall floor.
Last but not least, the general conditions of the hall are also crucial for injury prevention. A hall that does not comply with DIN standards can lead to dangerous situations. The operators are required to maintain the floors regularly so that all players can practice their sport safely. In this context, it is also important to emphasize that regular health checks, especially if injuries or illnesses are suspected, are absolutely necessary to ensure continued safe exercise. The German Handball Association offers players and coaches advice on resuming sport after injuries to help teams start the season safely.
That's why the new season not only means exciting games, but also responsible action in the interests of safety for everyone involved. The anticipation of the coming challenges is certainly great among players and fans - and the support of the community is needed more than ever.
