Next weekend the outdoor pool season will be put to the test again in Chemnitz. The reason for this is the mixed weather forecast, which will particularly affect the Wittgensdorf outdoor pool. This will remain closed on July 12th and 13th, 2025, the upcoming weekend. Another setback for swimming enthusiasts, as the city's other outdoor pools have also adjusted their opening times.
The Gablenz, Bernsdorf and Einsiedel outdoor pools are open, but the last entry time remains at 6:30 p.m. This means that the bathing season is shortened by a few hours that would otherwise have been possible until 8 p.m. However, the outdoor pools open as usual at 10 a.m. For everyone who doesn't want to trust the weather forecast, pack your swimming trunks and relax - everything could turn out for the better!

There is still a ray of hope, however, as there is a swimming festival taking place in the Einsiedel outdoor pool on Sunday. However, caution is advised here, as some offers had to be canceled due to the changed conditions. This means that the popular bouncy castle and introductory diving are no longer available. However, water entertainment is still on the program and visitors can look forward to a convivial atmosphere - even if the attractions are somewhat reduced.
The 50-meter hall in the city pool remains open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days and is a welcome alternative if it is too cold outside. Sporty swimmers can swim their lengths here even in less inviting weather.
