Creative and innovative: The Maker Festival conquers Chemnitz!

A program for all ages

The event takes place on Sunday from10 a.m. to 6 p.minstead and is byKatrin Hoffmann, the chairman of the board of Maker e.V. Chemnitz. The open days are particularly interesting and offer more than just passive participation. Participation is the top priority here. Children and adults can lend a hand, experiment and expand their knowledge.

There are already two school days for schoolsJune 19 and 20, 2025, which are particularly aimed at groups of students. These days require registration byApril 1, 2025. On the open days, i.e. onSaturday and Sunday, entry is free - this is a great opportunity to take a trip with the family and try out unknown technologies.

A look into the future

These types of festivals are not only popular in Chemnitz. There is also one in Berlin Maker Festival on the program, which is onSeptember 20, 2025takes place in the Zeiss Large Planetarium. Here, young people can live out their creative side by hacking and making and learn, for example, how to build a kaleidoscope or program simple circuits. The topic of recycling and upcycling is also very important there.
