Niners Chemnitz succumb to Buducnost: The dream of the Eurocup is bursting!

The Niners Chemnitz had to admit defeat against Buducnost Podgorica 71:84 in the Eurocup yesterday. This was already the fifth defeat in the seventh game of the current season, a clear sign that the Chemnitz team had not yet been able to really gain a foothold in international competition.

The Niners seemed optimistic at the start of the game and took a 19-12 lead after eight minutes. But from the second quarter onwards, Buducnost put more pressure on and made full use of their physical advantages to make the game more balanced. Above all, a 9-0 spurt by the guests ensured that Chemnitz quickly lost their lead. But in the final phase the team really collapsed and conceded an 0:11 run, which ultimately decided the game in Buducnost's favor. Kevin Yebo was Chemnitz's best scorer with 20 points, but that wasn't enough to ensure a positive result yesterday.
