Important choice for doctoral students: Representation at TU Chemnitz is pending!
Chemnitz, Deutschland - On June 5, 2025, the upcoming general assembly of the doctoral students approved for the doctorate at the Technical University (TU) Chemnitz was announced. This takes place on June 23, 2025 and aims to choose a new advocacy for doctoral students. This is made possible by the amendment of the Saxon University Act, which introduced the official representation of the doctoral students at Saxon universities, the TU Chemnitz .
The composition of the committee at the TU Chemnitz comprises up to nine members who represent the interests of all faculties as well as the center for teachers and educational research (ZLB). Interested parties can submit their election proposals by June 16, 2025, 4 p.m. There is also the possibility to apply as a candidate for the doctoral student representatives. The corresponding form is available on the website of the TU Chemnitz.
Important information about the General Assembly
The newly elected representation will be advisable in doctoral -relevant matters and will provide recommendations. In addition, she is included in the creation of doctoral regulations and has a member in a consulting voice in the Senate and on the faculty councils. All accepted doctoral students are invited to participate in the general assembly and should register by June 16, 2025.
