25 years of Moschs Elektroservice: success story in Dresden!
Celebration and success: Moschs Elektroservice looks back on 25 years! On April 1, 2000, “Moschs Elektroservice GmbH” was founded in Dresden-Trachau. Alexander Mosch and his father took the plunge into self-employment after his father was dissatisfied with his work situation. After 25 years in business, the company can already look forward to numerous successes.
Alexander Mosch took over the management at the age of 23 when his father left at the age of 65. During this time, the company has continued to develop. A special highlight of the anniversary was the celebration on June 13, 2025 on an Elbe steamer, where donations were collected for the Albert Schweitzer Children's Village in Saxony instead of gifts. This shows the social commitment of the Mosch family and the company.
A new paragraph in the training journey
The 45th trainee at Moschs Elektroservice is a woman: Selma Thon. After studying media research, she decided to take a different path and begin her training in the trades. Internships at various media companies helped her make the decision, and her internship at Moschs made the difference. Training in the skilled trades is not only a learning path, but also offers many opportunities. As the Dresden Chamber of Crafts explains, the training combines technical knowledge with practical experience and promotes key skills such as teamwork and problem solving.
Craftsmanship is very popular. It not only offers good earning potential, but also numerous opportunities for further training and further education. Many jobs in the construction industry are regulated by collective agreements, which leads to regular income. Further training opportunities, such as technical or study courses, open up additional earning potential. This makes getting started in the craft particularly attractive, as does the information from Training.de show.
A look into the future
The future of Mosch's electrical service looks promising. The company plans to move the office and warehouse to the new property on Trachenberger Platz, but is still waiting for the building permit. Alexander Mosch's son is also completing training as an electrician in order to prepare for a successor in the family-run company.
With an average of 780 orders per year, Moschs Elektroservice lays around 52 kilometers of cable and installs around 2,700 sockets. These impressive figures demonstrate the demand and trust in the company's services. The President of the Central Association of German Crafts, Jörg Dittrich, presented Alexander Mosch with the 25th anniversary certificate, which reflects the company's importance in the craft sector.
The success of the future will also depend on committed trainees who bring in fresh knowledge and new ideas. Selma Thon's decision to switch to the technical field could be an example for many young people who are looking for a fulfilling professional perspective. Getting into the trades is more than just a job – it’s a passion.
