Fee explosion: This is what parents have to pay for daycare centers in Dresden from September!
A considerable change is imminent in Dresden: From September 1, 2023, parents will have to prepare for increased childcare fees. Loud radiodresden.de The fee for a full-day place in a daycare center will be increased by 16 euros, for crèches by 18 euros and for after-school care by 8 euros for six hours. These adjustments are a response to the sharp increase in operating costs in recent years, which were caused not least by higher energy prices and wages in the educator sector.
The numbers speak volumes: While the costs of running the daycare centers were still 93 million euros in 2011, they have now exceeded the 240 million euro mark. For many parents, this not only means an additional financial burden, but also a call to deal with the new contributions.
