In fact, 2,000 season tickets have already found their new owner and the stadium, which has a capacity of 32,000 spectators, may not be enough to accommodate the expected more than 30,000 fans, as the Sports show added.
An ice hockey festival in Dresden
The Rudolf Harbig Stadium has already shone at open-air spectacles in the past, for example in 2016 and 2020. Ticket sales have already started and the prices are kept fair: standing room costs 29.90 euros, seats start at 42.90 euros. A wide range of ticket options will be offered to enable fans to experience the spectacle live. 17,000 of 32,000 tickets were sold after just a few hours. This shows how much interest there is in this special event, especially with one of the league's most popular teams in action.
The year of ice hockey
The year 2026 will be a very special one for the ice hockey community, not only because the Ice Lions and the Polar Bears will meet, but also because the DEL can celebrate in a unique atmosphere. DEL managing director Gernot Tripcke describes the event as a “highlight” and “lighthouse project” of the league. The game will also be broadcast live by DEL partner Magenta Sport, so that even fans who cannot be in the stadium will not miss a second of the action.
