Sugar bags for everyone: AWO starts a fundraising campaign for the beginning of school
With the start of school, there is an exciting time for many families, which, however, does not provide a similar anticipation for all children. In order to facilitate the start of school and their children, the AWO district association Dresden starts the "sugar bag" campaign that has been running for 14 years. Simone Lang, Saxon member of the state parliament and deputy chair of the AWO Landesverband Sachsen, takes over the patronage of the valuable initiative this year, which has set itself the goal of accompanying children in the first day of school. As reports Wochenkurier.info, all citizens, companies and institutions are asked to participate in donations.
The return of donations is above average this year: the Dresdeners show a big heart and have already collected over 5,000 euros in donations and high -quality donations. These benefit the needy children. 22 ABC shooters receive comprehensive basic equipment from the satchel to the eraser. 26 elementary school students and 25 middle school students can also look forward to a package with school materials. This is, as reports awo-in-sachsen.de, a gratifying sign for support in the community.
invitation to hand over the sugar bags
The official handover of the sugar bags will take place on August 6th as part of a solemn school start event in the ball and brewery Watzke. All school children, their parents and the donors are welcome to share the joy of the children and to find out more about the successful action. The donations flow 100 percent into the purchase of school materials, so that every euro arrives directly and does not seep into administrative costs, as is the case in many social projects.
The AWO donation account for the campaign is: AWO district association Dresden, IBAN: DE26 8505 0300 0479 95, BIC: OSDDDDE81XXX, password: AWO Action Sugarfück . The AWO also provides valuable support for families beyond the sugar bag, for example through leisure activities in daycare centers and schools or social pedagogical help, such as awo-wuerttemberg.de.
The "Sugar bag" campaign symbolically stands for the commitment of the community to support children on their educational path. It is proof that cohesion and helpfulness can thrive even in challenging times. Further information on the campaign and the support offers of the AWO are available in all Dresden institutions and it is always a good knack for the concerns of the families.
