New account model: Sparkasse relies on digitalization in the Görlitzer Kreis!
A lot is currently happening in Görlitz that affects the citizens and the region. Above all, the **Sparkasse Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien**, which will be launching a new account model on October 1st. The introduction of this model is a direct response to the changing needs of customers and the increasing digitalization of banking. As saechsische.de reports, the old account models that have been in effect since 2017 will be abolished. This decision will increase both the user experience and the competitiveness of the bank.
Digitalization is not just a trend, but a real mega-trend, which is even described by the Bundesbank as a fundamental change for the entire society. In this context, the role of banks is also being put to the test. While their core functions, such as intermediary between surplus and demand and payment services, remain, the way in which they offer these services is changing rapidly.
New attitude to life within historic walls
There is also an exciting development in the area of housing creation: a historic medical center at Bismarckstrasse 15a is being renovated by the architect Klaudia Szeremeta. 14 new apartments are to be built on an area of 700 square meters. The unfavorable floor plans are a small challenge, but the architect took on the project with a good hand. The access will also be sensibly redesigned and moved from the middle of the house to the courtyard side, which should provide more light and quality of life.
Görlitz’s dazzling history
Stamp collector Günther Klebes from Erlangen brings to light an interesting fact about the city: He auctioned off a stamp showing a Deutsche Reichsbahn train from 1985. This stamp is special because it reveals an express rail car that was manufactured in the Görlitz wagon factory and is currently being restored in Halberstadt. Such discoveries not only bring the collector to life, but also the history of the city - there is something there!
The villa as cultural heritage
Meanwhile, the youth club villa on Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße is for sale. The original buyer was unable to raise the necessary financial resources for the renovation, so the historic building remained in a dilapidated condition. Although some work has already been carried out, the villa, priced at 222,222 euros, requires a certain level of commitment from potential buyers.
The fate of the villa is exemplary for the preservation and renovation of historical buildings, which have a high status in Görlitz.
Bathroom in crisis mode
Unfortunately, there is also negative news in the region's leisure landscape: the Krauschwitz adventure pool will remain closed following an overhaul. The boss has initiated bankruptcy proceedings, which is a bitter disappointment for many locals and tourists who regularly visited the pool. The insolvency court is currently waiting for expert reports to decide on how to proceed.
The development in Görlitz clearly shows how dynamic the region is and what challenges and opportunities it presents. Whether in banking, living or in your free time - there's something happening here!
