Test matches in the Görlitz district: Football starts with new momentum!

The football world is turning again: intensified preparations for the new season have begun in the Görlitz district. The teams are in the starting blocks and are bringing the places back to life. Enthusiastic fans can look forward to tough test matches while the coaches prepare their protégés for the challenges ahead.

A highlight of the season preparation will take place on Friday in Niesky. A test match tournament is being held there in which four teams take part: FV Eintracht Niesky from the regional league, FC Oberlausitz Neugersdorf (regional league), VfB Weißwasser (district league) and the Polish team MKS Chrobry Nowogrodziec, which plays at around regional league level. The “everyone against everyone” mode ensures exciting 30-minute duels that fans can experience for a small entrance fee of 3 euros. Saxon reports about this attempt to revive the Oberlausitz Cup, which last enjoyed great popularity a few years ago.

Preparations are in full swing

Coach Enrico Kuntke from Eintracht sees this tournament as a valuable opportunity to test his tactics and his boys. The situation is also particularly challenging for Stefan Richter, Neugersdorf’s coach. He expressed dissatisfaction with the early start of preparations, which comes just two weeks after the last game of the old season. Nevertheless, he and his players have no choice but to concentrate on the next five weeks of preparation, which are necessary due to a personnel change in the squad.

Five players have already left FC Oberlausitz, and the squad is being cautiously replenished with three A-junior players. The commitment of the coaches and the motivation of the players are crucial and are supported by a 5-week pre-season program supported, which was developed specifically for amateur football. It covers important aspects such as fitness, technique, team spirit and game structure in order to optimally prepare the teams for the new challenge.

The key to success

As the game plans and preparations show, pre-season preparation can have a significant impact on subsequent success. In addition to fitness and tactical understanding, team spirit is also promoted. Emphasized in this context Zone14 that modern tools such as video analysis can also be used for optimization. This will make the transition into the season not only smarter, but also more entertaining.

The initial preparations are rounded off by further test matches: For example, NFV Gelb-Weiß Görlitz meets district league team Jänkendorf on Friday evening, while FSV Oderwitz plays in Zodel on Saturday. On Sunday, FSV Neusalza-Spremberg has a duel against MKS Chrobry Nowogrodziec, in which Kacper Haldas will act as coach.

The countdown to the start of the season on August 9th and 10th is on, and the teams are hungry for new successes - not just on the table, but also in the hearts of the fans!
