Crisis at the tram manufacturer Heiterblick: Future in danger!

In the streets of Leipzig, Görlitz and Zwickau, there is currently a noticeable uncertainty that is closely connected to the fate of the tram manufacturer Heiterblick. Heiterblick is faced with a serious crisis because Alstom has stopped the production of car boxes for the company. The Saxon Ministry of Economic Affairs is in contact with the employees and has confirmed that production continues to run and that all orders are processed. Heitersblick, the company with around 250 employees, was transferred to bankruptcy proceedings in self -administration in April 2025. According to MDR , the renovation plan was confirmed by the district court, while talks are on short work. In the past, the company has established itself as a special provider for individually designed city and trams- a legacy that is now threatened.
