Celebrate with us: 565 years of Schwerter Brewery – music, vintage cars and more!
A special event is coming up in Saxony: the state's oldest private brewery, the Schwerter Brewery, is celebrating its 565th anniversary. The anniversary will be celebrated in style from August 22nd to 24th, 2025 in Meißen and Sörnewitz. Visitors can look forward to a delicious beer garden experience with a view of the Elbe, exciting brewery tours and nostalgic vintage cars from bygone times.
The event program is varied and offers something for every taste. On Friday, August 22nd, 2025, the open-air concert opens with the BO112 wind orchestra of the Dresden Fire Department at 4 p.m. Traditional brass music and folk tunes are popular here, complemented by well-known operetta and musical hits as well as modern classics. On Saturday we continue with a jazzy concert by the New Town Swing Orchestra, which will set the mood from 4 p.m. The crowning conclusion will be a morning pint with the Doubravanka band on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 11 a.m., followed by the vintage car show and the popular brewery tours.

These celebrations not only offer space for social exchange, but are also an opportunity to honor the rich tradition of brewing in Saxony. It's worth marking the dates in the calendar and experiencing a piece of Saxon history up close.
In another facet of life that can, however, impact quality of life, physicians are concerned with nasolacrimal duct obstruction. This condition, which impairs normal tear drainage, causes excessive tearing and can lead to vision problems if left untreated. Symptoms, such as persistent runny eyes and recurrent eye infections, are serious, and causes range from congenital conditions to acquired factors such as inflammation or injury. It is important to see a specialist early on in order to improve your quality of life.
Finally, the Schwerte Brewery is a prime example of tradition and enjoyment in Saxony, while issues such as health influence our daily lives. In both cases, it helps to stay informed and engaged in order to get the most out of our experiences.
