What a weekend in Radebeul! This year's Casperiad has once again shown how lively the young talents of puppetry are. For the first time, the city's oldest cultural festival no longer took place at the Kulturbahnhof, but rather on the area between the Luther Church and the Karl May Museum. Six stages offered a varied and humorous program. After some time of free events, admission was charged for the first time this year, but this did not bring in the hoped-for number of visitors. There was also a premiere: The new artistic director Bianka Heuser put together a children's jury consisting of eight critical newcomers between the ages of 7 and 10. These small jury members had the task of experiencing all the performances and deciding on the best piece of the festival on Sunday.

The festival days are not only a great experience for the children, but also for the puppeteers, who are enthusiastically given new impulses.
