The architecture firm Schulz and Uhlemann realized the plans in this project, with a clear focus on sustainability and a complete integration of the hall into the landscape around the famous Moritzburg Castle. The construction, whose approval costs are EUR 26.6 million and are co -financed by tax funds from the Saxon state parliament, which is optically unobtrusive in the area, so that it is hardly visible from the castle. The riding hall with a total area of 6,000 square meters offers extraordinary possibilities. The main riding area measures 30 x 70 meters and is supplemented by training and judge's rooms and 824 spectator places. In addition, an adjacent training and abort hall with 20 x 60 meters has already been handed over in May.

The hall is equipped with a well thought-out heating system that includes gas-powered air heating under the seats and LED infrared heating over the grandstand. This enables an energy saving of around 20 percent and allows longer stays in the warmer areas of the hall, even if the outside temperatures decrease. A closer look at the energy supply also shows that the innovative photovoltaic system with 216 modules on the planted roof contributes to the sustainable power supply, while an underground retention basin for rainwater was created with a capacity of 172 cubic meters.

In addition to the impressive infrastructural requirements, nature is also taken into account: 84 trees and 300 square meters of green spaces have to be created as compensation for the sealed areas. This not only brings better air, but also hits the nerve of the times and supports environmental protection.

On August 5, the hall with guided tours at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. will be made accessible to the public. And on November 23rd, visitors can look forward to the first event "Stallions in Advent" - this is the starting signal for a variety of events that will take place here during the winter. The new riding hall promises to become a hotspot for equestrian athletes and all interested parties in the region.

The entire modernization process at the Moritzburg state stud in the state shows how sensible construction measures can be used not only for a better infrastructure, but also for environmental protection and sustainable events.
