Renovation of the Dorint Parkhotel Meißen: 3.5 million euros for new splendor!

The Dorint Parkhotel Meißen has completed its comprehensive modernization and now presents itself in new splendor. The owner company, Grandhotel in Meißen GmbH, invested an impressive 3.5 million euros in the renovation. In just nine months of construction, all rooms in the main house and central back-of-house areas were renovated, while operations continued undisturbed. The result is impressive!

General Manager Mark Anton was at the helm and coordinated the entire modernization process. All comfort and superior rooms as well as the four suites have been completely renovated. The new bathrooms are equipped with floor-level rain showers, and the timeless design impresses with clear lines and harmonious, warm natural tones. Accents in shades of blue and a new lighting concept with warm white LED lights round off the pleasant ambience.

Modernized kitchens and sustainable technology

A highlight of the renovation is the kitchen area, which was completely gutted and equipped with the latest, energy-efficient kitchen technology. These measures lead to electricity savings of around 15 percent and a noticeable reduction in CO₂ emissions. The more efficient organization of kitchen processes also improves culinary quality.

The Dorint Parkhotel has 118 rooms, centrally located near the picturesque banks of the Elbe. Six light-flooded meeting rooms are available for events and can accommodate up to 200 people. Regional and international dishes as well as selected wines await guests in the “Ohm’” restaurant. A fitness area and a spa with a panoramic sauna also complement the hotel's wide range of offerings, making every stay a special experience.

A look outside the box

While new trends are being set in Meißen, there are also interesting developments in other regions. For example, the LA County Library will be closed on November 11th for Veterans Day, but its digital library will be available 24 hours a day. Now more than ever, libraries are also places of education and support, offering programs and resources for a variety of community needs, including for writers and aspiring authors.

Support in times of crisis, such as food needs, is evident through initiatives such as LAFoodBank.org. And of course the digital world shouldn't be forgotten either, for example with instructions on how to recover passwords on Facebook, where users are offered simple steps to regain access to their accounts.

Overall, it shows that both local hotels and public libraries are adaptable and innovative in difficult times. Whether in the Parkhotel in Meißen or in a library in California – the focus today is on quality, support and modern service.
