The Astroclub Radebeul e.V. invites you to public sky observations every Friday evening at the “Adolph Diesterweg” public observatory. When the sky is clear, the fascinating crater landscapes of the moon and numerous celestial objects are visible. These include globular star clusters, galaxies and planetary nebulae – a feast for the eyes and an exciting journey through the vastness of space. These beautiful views are not only intended for experienced astronomers, but also for curious people and families who want to discover the constellations of each season.
A special highlight are the large telescopes that are used for the observations. For technology -loving visitors there is even the opportunity to take a special adapter photos directly with your smartphone from the moon. The Saxons reports that the sky observation takes 1 to 2 hours depending on the weather. In the case of unclear conditions, an alternative program is offered that includes interesting presentations about the virtual starry sky and an informative exhibition in the foyer of the observatory.
