Apples for Ukraine: Hainichen's fundraising campaign shows great solidarity!

A remarkable campaign took place in the small community of Mobendorf in the Striegistal when the Communitas Hainichen association launched an apple collection campaign. Over 15,000 kilograms of apples were collected, which resulted in a proud sum of 1,500 euros for the next aid transport to Ukraine. Uwe Anke, a committed member of the association and mayor of Nossen, had the brilliant idea for this campaign. With his extensive experience in fruit farming, which he brought from his family's previous fruit farm, Anke knew that the people in the region were willing to help. “Together we can achieve a lot,” is Anke’s belief, which is reflected in this noble project. Since the start of the war in Ukraine, the association has already sent 35 tractor-trailers with relief supplies to the region in need, which shows that solidarity is very important here.
