The last weekend in July is a very special highlight for all culture and music lovers in Freiberg. From June 13th to September 14th, 2025, visitors can look forward to an extensive program that has something for every taste. The event starts on Friday, July 23rd, at 8 p.m. with the rousing comedy program “Paarshit pur” by Dresden comedians Mandy Partzsch and Erik Lehmann.
But that's not enough! On Saturday, July 24th, things continue with a dazzling party in the castle courtyard, which starts at 9 p.m. The atmosphere here will certainly be unique, because you can celebrate fantastically in the open air and in the middle of the historical backdrop. An extensive supporting program around the Freiberg Summer Nights makes the visit an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for something different, you can take a trip to the Kriebstein dam or to the cultural sites in Frauenstein and Augustusburg.
Diverse program for every age group
The Freiberg Summer Nights not only offer comedy, but also live music across all genres - from rock and pop to hits and brass music. In addition, there is no shortage of drama and cabaret, and the whole thing is rounded off with relaxed disco evenings under the starry sky. A special highlight are the film nights, which, from the beginning of July, provide a cinematic atmosphere with deck chairs and popcorn.
