Football festival in Roßwein: Legendary players inspire over 600 fans!

On Saturday, June 20, 2025, the Roßweiner Stadium on Haßlauer Strasse experienced a very special football festival. The event marked the start of the Roßwein school festival and attracted over 600 enthusiastic spectators. This event was organized by Benjamin Brambor, head of the Roßweiner SV, and Wim Burkhardt, the head of the football department, with many helpers actively involved. The anticipation was great, and it was not just another football game, but a clash of legendary players who once shaped football.

In an exciting game, the Roßweiner selection, consisting of former and current players of the Roßweiner SV, competed against a selection of former professional players. Among other things, sizes such as Tomislav Piplica, Thomas Neubert, Robert Koch, Lars Jungnickel and Matthias Maucksch. These stars in football history caused some unforgettable moments on the pitch. In the first minutes of the game, the experienced goalkeeper Piplica had to grab three times.

The goals scored Steffen Zerge, Benjamin Brambor and Max Zimmermann. The goal of Thomas Neubert from 25 meters was particularly impressive, which was amazed not only at him, but also his teammates. After a balanced score at half -time, Sebastian Albrecht scored the equalization to 4: 4 for the Roßweiner. But the east selection was not put off: Lars Jungnickel scored twice, while Max Zimmermann was able to shorten again. Ultimately, Robert Koch set the final point to 5: 7.

The game cord took over referee Bernd Heynemann, who not only provided a fair course, but was then also available for a talk round to answer questions from fans. The players' players praised the excellent conditions and the beautiful facility in Roßwein, which made the organizers very proud.

Another look into the future

With the captivating event in Roßwein, the Roßweiner SV is now going into the summer break, full of optimism for the coming season in the district league Muldental/Leipzig Land. The stadium will soon also bear the name Jens Arnold, in honor of the long -time club chairman, who died in July 2023. This naming is intended to honor Arnold's merits and emphasize the connection with the history of the club.

The admission price for the event was 10 euros for full payers and 7 euros for reduced, and the events could be booked in advance via the office of Roßweiner SV and the company Brambor. It was a successful day that not only brought together football enthusiasts, but also celebrated local communities and raised the memories of big football times.
