Hainichen donates apples: 1,500 euros for aid transport to Ukraine!

In Hainichen, the commitment to Ukraine remains unbroken. The Union Communitas Hainichen has already organized 35 aid transports since the outbreak of the war to support the local people. Despite the ongoing willingness to help, there has recently been a noticeable decline in donations. The club's board, under the leadership of Uwe Anke, is therefore looking for new and creative solutions to continue to provide the urgently needed help.

A promising approach was a recent apple harvest, which brought in an impressive 1,500 euros for the upcoming aid transport. The funds collected will go towards the 33rd relief transport, which will be organized in the near future. Project manager Thomas Kretschmann and his dedicated team are working hard to put together the next delivery.

Aid supplies for Ukraine

The upcoming campaign involves loading a tractor-trailer with around 14 tons of relief supplies. This includes:

  • 5 Krankenhausbetten
  • mehr als 2 Dutzend Rollstühle und Gehbänke
  • Bettgestelle mit Lattenrost und Matratze
  • Schulmöbel
  • Fahrräder
  • Kleidung

In order to continue to support this effort, the association is urgently looking for further donations in kind, such as diapers, hygiene products and sleeping bags. Tents, air mattresses, tools and spring mattresses are also very welcome. Donations can be dropped off at the Naturbrennstoffe Kretschmann donation warehouse on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
