Karl's adventure village Döbeln impresses with new attractions!

Karl's boss Robert Dahl opened two exciting new attractions in Karl's adventure village in Döbeln on June 27, 2025, expanding the already diverse offering. One of them is the fairytale summer theater with the Swedish musical “Little Karl and the Magic Fairy”. This piece tells the story of Fairy Frea, who regains her ability to fly with the help of strawberries. The play, which will be performed four times a day until September 7th, was already very popular at the dress rehearsal, especially among the families who were able to experience the first performance.

The second attraction, the “LPG Rote Rübe Feldbahn,” offers visitors a journey through 7,000 years of strawberry history as they learn about archaeological discoveries and historic settlements. The names of the attractions are quite entertaining, as “LPG” stands for “Last time on time”. Work on the Adventure Village Express was in full swing until the opening trip, which took place after four weeks of construction.

Attractions and plans for the future

Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Döbeln is the company's sixth amusement park and the first in Saxony. The opening took place on March 23, 2024, after initial delays due to freezing weather conditions that affected construction time. The adventure village currently includes 43 attractions, including carousels, a caterpillar track and an indoor playground, and attracts numerous visitors every day who can come between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Particularly emphasized is the strategically favorable location of the park near the A14, Döbeln Nord exit. There was originally space for 995 parking spaces, which has now been expanded to an impressive 1,450. There are also options for getting there: A new regional bus line “K” runs regularly to the adventure village.

Positive response and visitor numbers

Mayor Sven Liebhauser (CDU) expressed himself positively about the developments in the adventure village and expects that the new amusement park will attract an increased number of visitors. In fact, the exciting range of attractions such as the new all-you-can-eat restaurant, a gigantic roller coaster and a winter ice skating barn could help the adventure village develop into a hot spot for families.

The special attractions in Döbeln, such as the Bockwurstland and the egg cup collection with 4,770 cups, show that not only fun but also tradition plays a role here.

Future visions for the adventure village are already being planned: a family hotel “Die Karls Bande” and the park railway “LPG Rote Rübe” promise more variety and entertainment for visitors. The experiences in the village are like the path to a good festival - promising and full of joy!

For everyone who is planning a great family trip: Karl's adventure village offers the ideal opportunity to combine fun and culture. A trip that is worth it because it never gets boring here!
