Last weekend things really got going again in the district league. The Mochau tractor had to admit defeat to the ATSV “Frisch Auf” Wurzen with 0:4. Coach Christian Straube said that the result did not reflect how the game went. Despite an active performance from his team in the second half, which came after falling behind in the first 45 minutes, the push for an equalizer led to further goals being conceded.
One reason for the defeat was the numerous player absences, said Straube, who himself had to sit on the substitutes' bench. Despite the three defeats in the current season, the coach is not giving up his dream of defending his title. However, he sees Frohburger and Bad Lausicker as the main competitors, while Wurzen is not one of the favorites for him. Meanwhile, Döbelner SC showed fighting spirit and fought for a 2-2 draw after being 2-0 down against FC Bad Lausick. Coach Uwe Zimmermann was satisfied with his boys' performance, despite personnel shortages.
Results and standings
Meanwhile, SV Gleisberg remains in good form. With a 2-1 win against SV Klinga-Ammelshain, they are unbeaten in four games and coach Frank Baumert is very satisfied with the positive feeling in the team. In the Cologne derby, Roßweiner SV triumphed over BC Hartha and won 2-0. Hartha therefore remains without a win in the league. Coach Stephan Leimner described the victory as important for the distance to the relegation places.
In another exciting game, SV Ostrau lost 1:2 against Blau-Weiß Bennewitz. After the game, coach Jörg Soujon was visibly perplexed by his team's performance. Things are getting more and more exciting at the top of the table as the Frohburg unit remains unbeaten after an impressive 8-0 win against TSV Großsteinberg, keeping them firmly at the top, while Mochau remains in eighth place.
