Obergräfenhain is full of anticipation: from June 27th to 29th, 2025, a village festival will be celebrated here on the sports field that you shouldn't miss. On Sunday, June 29th, the day traditionally begins with the “rooster crowing” at 7 a.m. - this is where the best rooster is determined. Afterwards there will be a festive service at 8:30 a.m. in the St. James Church. The program includes a morning pint with the “Brass Music from Lunzenau” at 10.30 a.m. followed by archery to determine the archer king. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the “Fiddle Folk Family” and a surprise performance will delight festival visitors, followed by an award ceremony.
