Solarpark Leisnig: Green light for renewable energy explosion!

Leisnig, Deutschland - in Leisnig is advanced to solar energy. In its most recent meeting, the city council gave the green light for the planned Hasenberg solar park. Since 2021, Anumar GmbH from Ingolstadt has been responsible for this project, which could significantly enrich the solar landscape in the urban area. A statute decision was made, which means that the implementation of the solar park can now take up speed. This project comes at a time that is shaped by an impressive increase in solar performance in Central Saxony.

In the past ten years, solar performance in Central Saxony has increased by an impressive 260 percent. In the figures of June 6, 2025, it becomes clear that the region has now achieved a solar performance of around 623,300 kilowatt peak (KWP). We can also be amazed at the development of the open space systems, the performance of which has more than doubled in the past four years. Middle Saxony thus occupies second place in Saxony, behind the district of Leipzig, which is led with over 1.2 million kWp. While the solar performance in other counties such as Görlitz did not jump over 370,000 kWp, Mittersachsen impressively shows how well the solar energy is accepted here.

The change in solar energy

What is particularly in the eye: For the first time in a whole decade, we gain more solar energy from open space systems than from roofs. Around 52.5 percent of solar power now comes from these systems, whereas 45.4 percent come from roof systems. The reason for this change are, among other things, the tax changes, which have been noticeable in the form of the abolition of sales tax when buying private photovoltaic systems since January 1, 2023. This motivated many homeowners to choose solar technology.

The increase in the use of "other systems", which mainly include the popular balcony power plants, is also remarkable. These have sifted over the past ten years. Nevertheless, they only make up a small part of the overall performance. The aim of promoting plug -in solar systems in Saxony is to strengthen awareness of the use of renewable energies and energy efficiency in the population. The plug -in solar devices are attributed to a role model that arouses curiosity about environmentally friendly energies.

regional differences and possible trends

In Döbeln, another interesting picture shows: more than 1000 solar systems are registered here, with three quarters installed on roofs. The city has most of the solar systems in the region, while Leisnig positions itself as a pioneer in terms of solar performance. With around 23,400 kWp you lead the regional ranking lists. Compared to Roßwein, which can have the most open space systems with a total of ten, Brand-Erbisdorf scores with a total solar performance of over 63,000 kwp.

But not only locally, the solar industry develops, there is also an impressive growth throughout Germany. The installed performance of photovoltaic systems in Germany is currently around 82 gigawattpeak, and this is to increase to 215 gigawatts by 2030. This is a powerful contribution to the desired climate-neutral power supply until 2035, which already shows with the saving of around 49.6 million tons of CO₂ equivalents in 2024.

In the constantly changing landscape of solar energy, it remains to be seen how the next few years will affect developments. One thing is certain: the enthusiasm for photovoltaics has not only experienced an immense upswing in middle -axles, but throughout Germany.
