Timetable changes in Delitzsch: Fewer buses for students from August!
From the beginning of the summer vacation, there will be noticeable timetable changes in school traffic at Nordsachsen Mobil GmbH (NOMO). These changes affect travel times and the stop controls in the Delitzsch and Eilenburg region. Nomo spokesman Matthias Neumann emphasizes that more trips have been offered so far than the student transport statute provides. So far, these additional trips have been financed by voluntary services in the district.
In view of the tense budget of the district, it was decided to return to the statutory scope of the transport services. So there will be fewer trips from the new school year, which begins on August 11th. The schools that are affected by these changes include the elementary and secondary school in Krostitz, the Rosenweg primary school, the Erasmus Schmidt secondary school and other schools in the places in Beilrode, Cavertitz, Dahlen, Delitzsch-Ost, Eilenburg, Glesien, Kyhna, Löbnitz, Schildau, Strehla, Wehlitz, Weßnig, Wölkau and Zschepplin. While the trips remain after the fifth and sixth lessons, students from the Authausen primary school have to do without their return trip after the fifth hour.
In December 2024, bus traffic was already shortened severely due to a deficit of around two million euros. These measures concerned numerous lines in Eilenburg and Delitzsch including lines 195, 197, 229, 231, 233 and more.

Hope for more flexibility brings the new Flexa call bus system, which has been extended to the entire district. With this new initiative, 45 new stops are created, which are not marked with signs. For example, stops in places such as Kospa and Naundorfer Straße 9 (corner of Wiesenweg) can be found in Eilenburg. Flexa picks up the passengers at these agreed stops and that without an additional surcharge for the MDV tariff or in the context of the Germany ticket.
The bookings for Flexa are possible up to 60 minutes before departure by phone or online. An interesting innovation: Flexa not only brings passengers to the desired target stop, but also at the transfer points if there is no scheduled bus or train at the desired times.

Another important topic is the student cards. The student regional card enables younger students in the North Saxony district to use public transport on the way to school every day, even on weekends and during the summer vacation. In order to receive this card, an application should be made to the district, whereby the student transport statute must be observed.
For pupils from grade 5, there is also the educational ticket, which can also be requested directly from the district. These offers are a great way to facilitate the mobility and leisure activities of students and thus offer you a lot of scope for your activities outside of school.
