The recycling center in Rechau will be a very special event location on September 20, 2023, because the first flea market will take place there on that day. The North Saxony District Waste and Service Company (ASG) has come up with something unique: Under the motto “Reuse instead of wasting,” the flea market offers a great opportunity to give well-preserved items that are no longer needed a new home. Sellers can be happy: There are no stand fees and the offering is diverse.
It is still possible to hand over bulky waste, green waste, scrap and electrical appliances, but access to the flea market is not possible via the scales. Instead, the path to the left to the transfer station is shown. The transfer station will remain closed on this day to ensure the market runs smoothly. This relieves the pressure of offers and ensures a relaxed shopping experience.
A colorful supporting program
But the flea market is not just for bargain hunters and environmentally conscious buyers. The ASG also provided an entertaining supporting program. The first 100 sausages are free, and for young visitors there is a bouncy castle and a quiz with great prizes. A smoking ban ensures that the atmosphere remains pleasant and family-friendly.
Clubs and retailers who want to take back unsold goods can easily dispose of them as bulky waste or scrap. This ensures that everything stays in order after the flea market and that no one is left with their leftovers.
Prepared for a successful event
The ASG already has experience from similar flea markets at the Bad Düben recycling center and is confident that this event will also be a success. Registration for vendors can be made by phone or email, and the ASG itself will have a stand. If you want, you can even ask the ASG on site for donations for the market.
On September 20th, the recycling center in Rechau will be transformed into a lively marketplace where not only business will be done, but also an example of sustainability will be set. A celebration for the whole family is in prospect!
