Neumarkt 9, 04758 Oschatz, Deutschland - The Löwen pharmacy in Oschatz can look back on a long tradition and was last appointed company in 2025 on June 30, 2025. This award was awarded by the city council on Thursday evening, the majority and with just a voting abstain for the decision. Katja Klingner, who has been responsible for the pharmacy since May 1, 2007, was pleased with the honor, which she understands as a thank you for the long -term and committed service in the city. The award ceremony will take place on September 16 in the Thomas-Müntzer-Haus.

The history of the Löwen pharmacy goes back to 1510. The pharmacist Hieronymus Ortheim founded the company on the premises of Barthel Fischheim am Neumarkt 9, where the pharmacy is still based today. Under the direction of Hans-Joachim Howe, who took over the pharmacy on January 1, 1975, significant investments were made. Since privatization in 1990, the pharmacy has experienced various modernizations that led to today's appearance. The pharmacy currently employs ten women in different positions, including pharmacists and pharmaceutical-technical assistants, as well as two men in the bot service.
