The Saxon initiative “Sinn” will set up its tents in Torgau on Tuesday, September 9th and invites you to an exciting network meeting. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the cultural bastion will be a meeting place for everyone who is involved in the social sector. Admission starts at 10:30 a.m. and free drinks and snacks are provided. The main focus of the event is on promoting social projects in the North Saxony district. At the roadshow, local associations and initiatives, including Diakonie Delitzsch, the Torgauer Teichminze Association and Lebenshilfe Oschatz, can present their activities and successes. The initiative sees itself as a “future platform for social innovations” and wants to strengthen the networking of socially committed individuals, associations and start-ups torgauerzeitung.de reported.
The exchange of ideas
The event not only offers the opportunity to get to know the SINN team, but also to exchange ideas with various actors from the region. Both best practices from Northern Saxony and inspiring social innovations from other Saxon regions will be presented. There will be space for discussions about current challenges in the district. These topics range from supporting young people with mental illnesses to inclusive projects such as Freiraum – Torgau.

Future prospects
“Sinn’s” commitment is part of a broader initiative launched as part of the coalition agreement 2019-2024. The aim of this future platform is to address new social challenges with innovative solutions, and the need for new social practices and organizational models has already been recognized. The platform is intended not only to create good framework conditions for social innovations, but also to promote an exchange and coordination structure, which is particularly important today.
