New building yard in Taucha: 2 million euros for modern jobs!

in Taucha, between the parthe resort and the festival meadow, the building yard grows into new splendor. A new social wing building is currently being built, which should not only improve the working conditions of the 16 employees, but also offers space for extensions. The existing building, which served as a location from 2000 to the present, is simply too small and does not meet modern standards. There is a lack of separate sanitary facilities and changing rooms for women, which is simply no longer wearable today.

With the new building, the building yard will also be able to enlarge its workforce to 21 employees. A two -story building in wooden construction, which is being built on the former employee car park, is planned. The ground floor area will include a lounge, sanitary facilities and a training room, while there will be three offices on the upper floor. This information has compiled the LVZ

construction project in full swing

The plans for the new building already took shape in the summer of 2023, and the permits were granted quickly. The construction work began at the beginning of February 2025, and the floor slab has now been completed. Now the timber construction work is running at full speed. Mayor Tobias Meier and planner Hagen Weidemüller recently laid the foundation stone together with the employees of the building yard and the construction department. At this solemn ceremony, a time capsule was also entered into the foundation, in which there is, among other things, a daily newspaper, building permits, photos and euros - a small treasure for future generations, according to the Stadt Taucha .

The project has a total volume of around 2 million euros, with two thirds of this sum being financed by funding from the Free State of Saxony and the federal government. The completion of the new building is planned for early December 2025, and a topping -out ceremony is expected for the end of June 2025. After commissioning the new building, the old building yard is demolished so that a new employee car park can be created there.

a step into the future

The new building not only promises an improvement in working conditions, but also a sustainable energy supply through photovoltaics and heat pump. In addition, an emergency power feed is installed for the disaster. Taucha consciously relies on modern standards to offer employees a good work environment and at the same time implement environmentally friendly solutions.

The tumult of recent years has shown that many public buildings in Germany need an update. With his Bauhof project, Taucha takes a significant step forward and shows that even in times of change, an investment in the public infrastructure is essential. We can look forward to the coming months and how the building yard finds a new, modern home.
