In Mügeln there is reason to be happy: On July 17, 2025, the new post station was finally officially inaugurated. But as with many new buildings, there were also some hurdles that delayed the use. The structure was completed six weeks ago, but the station could only be put into operation after another week, which was annoying for the residents.
The ceremonial inauguration particularly delighted the children of the "Sonnenflume" daycare center, which were surprised by DHL press spokesman Vincent Ackermann with a sweet package full of gummy bears. They wanted to show the little guests that the new station is also important for them.
The somewhat bumpy start
Despite the celebrations, the post station was not spared from the very beginning. The payment terminal, which is important for receiving payments, initially did not work properly.
