The application can be easily submitted digitally via the Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB). It is important that the repairs are carried out by approved specialist companies. This condition aims to extend the life of devices and avoid e-waste. The CDU in Saxony hopes that specialist companies in rural areas will also take part in the program. Most recently, around 600 companies took part in this initiative and this number is expected to increase as the program is revived.
The first positive results have already been evident since the introduction of the repair bonus in July 2023.
