Construction work on the B172 in Pirna: Detirement planned from July 14th!
In Pirna, an important change is announced: the construction work on the Pirna (B 172) bypass on the Sonnenstein is going into the next phase. From July 14th, the traffic routing will be adjusted, since the traffic is redirected from the existing road to a newly built, two -lane makeshift lane. This makeshift lane runs northeast of the previous route and ensures that the traffic can be passed past the construction site in both directions. According to the Wochenkurier, the work to manufacture the final state of the future connection to the B 172 is now in full swing.
But that's not all! The work on the partial dismantling of the old route, to lay new drainage lines and to extensive earthworks, which ultimately include the construction of the final road up to the existing B 172 also begin with the commissioning of the makeshift lane. This construction period is designed for about a year, so that road users should keep an eye on their timetable in the coming months.

In addition, there is also news about the B 172/Schandauer Straße in Pirna. Renewal work is expected to be implemented there from June 24th. During this period, the B 172 is fully blocked over a distance of around 600 meters, which requires a detour via S 173/Einsteinstrasse to S 174/Rottwerndorfer Straße. From Neundorf, the K 8732 is then diverted to the B 172. The return traffic is redirected analogously, and the line traffic of local public transport must also be diverted. In the detour route, three traffic light systems are also set up to regulate the flow of traffic, which should make the Situation easier for all road users. These details were published on the LasUV page.
The ensuring of a reliable transport infrastructure is central to our personal freedom and social well -being. The traffic network in Germany is one of the best worldwide, such as the Verkehrsinvestitungs report 2022. The report emphasizes the importance of eliminating bottlenecks through regular new and expansion and shows that securing and expanding this high quality are a central task of transport policy in Germany.
road users are asked to adapt to the upcoming diversions and the construction work in good time. So drivers have to be patient during the construction period. It remains to be seen how the further details of the construction work are, but one thing is certain: there is a lot to be done! Keep up to you!
