200 children on a big holiday trip: joy and adventure in Heringsdorf!

Things are currently very busy in the Saxony region because of the annual holiday trip Children's Arche Saxony e.V. to Heringsdorf on Usedom has begun. With 200 children and young people looking forward to this adventure, the stay will not only be a respite from everyday life, but also a step towards positive changes in their lives.

This event is much more than just a vacation trip. The program includes exciting activities - from a visit to the children's healing forest and the submarine exhibition in Peenemünde to an amber hike. A summer cinema on the beach also ensures unforgettable evenings. This sophisticated planning aims to help participants gain distance from stressful experiences and develop new perspectives. Accommodation is in a cozy youth hostel in Heringsdorf, where the kids can feel comfortable.

Financing through solidarity

This great project can only work with the support of numerous donors. Thanks to many generous donations, the costs of the trip were covered, although the financing is often not included in the regular subsidies from the youth welfare offices. A call for further support for specific projects is therefore even more important in order to offer targeted help to children and young people in the region. This support is essential, especially in times when the challenges for many families have increased.

The Kinderarche not only offers holiday trips, but is also involved in various projects, such as a studio for small artists in the children's and youth home in Crimmitschau or the creation of oases of peace in the “Unterm Regenbogen” daycare center in Sebnitz. These measures are tailored to the needs of the children and offer valuable places to retreat and opportunities for creative development.

Challenges for children and families

The situation for many children and young people in Germany is serious. Currently, more than one in five children is considered to be at risk of poverty, a situation that has been further exacerbated by the Corona crisis. Families with several children or single parents are particularly affected. It is all the more important that organizations like this Johanniter become active. They offer both advice and educational services that create perspectives for disadvantaged children and young people.

The Johanniter are committed to promoting education, health and development opportunities through numerous projects. An example of this is support in coping with stress, as is the case with 14-year-old Adriana in Lübeck, who receives outpatient help with her education. They also offer numerous leisure and assistance activities, such as first aid for children in daycare centers or daily warm meals for socially disadvantaged children.

Given all these challenges, every cent donated to these projects is invaluable. Anyone who would like to participate can donate easily and directly for a better future for children and young people in Saxony and thus make an important contribution. The Children's Arch is happy to issue donation receipts and provide information about how the funds are used.

In summary, we can say: The Kinderarche Sachsen e.V. holiday trip is not just a trip, but a step in the right direction. It offers participants unforgettable experiences and the chance for positive change. And all of this is possible thanks to the tireless efforts of supporters and donors who are committed to a better future for children.
