Former national handball player Silje Brøns Petersen as a bachelor!

Former national handball player Silje Brøns Petersen is currently enjoying a special media presence. She is taking part in the Danish edition of “Bachelor”, which she recently casually announced via Instagram. After her move to BSV Sachsen Zwickau in the summer of 2025, this is another exciting challenge for the athlete. However, she emphasizes that this reality show will not have any impact on her athletic performance as her focus remains on winning victories with her team. T-Online reports.

The show was recorded on the picturesque island of Crete in spring 2025. Brøns Petersen admits that it wasn't easy for her to express her feelings in such a personal situation, but describes the experience as "really cool". The show, in which 16 ladies vie for the favor of a bachelor, is broadcast on the channel “TV 2 Play”, which, however, requires a paid subscription.

The sporting career

Brøns Petersen was born in Denmark and has had German citizenship since November 2021. With 23 appearances for the German national team, at the 2021 World Cup and the 2022 European Championship, she has earned a solid place in German handball. From 2016 to 2020 she was under contract with HSG Blomberg-Lippe before moving to TuS Metzingen, where she played until 2022. After stints in Denmark and Italy, she finally returned to Germany.

Handball on TV and upcoming events

While Brøns Petersen dabbles in the world of television, the handball action doesn't stand still. There is an important HBF game on Thursday, October 30th: BSV Sachsen Zwickau meets SV Union Halle-Neustadt at 7:00 p.m. This clash will be broadcast free of charge on Sporteurope, which could be particularly worthwhile for fans in the region. How Handball World reports, there will be numerous exciting games in the coming days - including the encounter between Borussia Dortmund against Thüringer HC and the home game of TuS Metzingen.

At the same time, Germany will continue to be challenged internationally in handball, with the test match against Iceland on October 30th as well as other games that will be broadcast live on ZDF. These games offer fans the opportunity to experience the progress in German handball up close.

As you can see, both Silje Brøns Petersen and the Bundesliga teams are active and committed - be it on the handball field or in front of the cameras. Let's stay excited to see what successes lie ahead!
