One-person graduates from Kirchberg: What Freya and Theo really plan!

Zwickau, Deutschland - The excitement is great in Kirchberg: Freya Schiller and Theo Polster have completed their high school diploma at the Christoph-Graupner-Gymnasium with the dream grade of 1.0. Together with over 350 other students from Saxony, they were honored in the Dresden Frauenkirche. An unforgettable moment for the two 18-year-olds, who is not only accompanied by pride, but also by many questions.

easy to understand: The two highly gifted often hear that they should use their talent for studying medicine or studying law. "I can't see blood," explains Freya, who vehemently decides against a career in medicine. This refuted the cliché that one-off high school graduates inevitably push into these classic professions. Theo already has clear ideas and cannot be influenced by the pressure. "I want to do something creative," said his answer to the frequent questions about a legal career.

academic award at a high level

The honor in the Frauenkirche was a highlight for the high school graduates. Minister of Culture Christian Piwarz and Dr. Matthias Rößler, President of the Saxon Landtag, presented the young talent to the congratulatory letter, documents and even a badge of honor from Meißner porcelain. There was also a book voucher for the further learning adventures. According to MedienSachsen.de in 2024 a total of 402 students completed their Abitur or their technical college entrance qualification with a grade of 1.0

In the past school year 2022/2023, 16,372 pupils took part in the Abitur exams, which proved the high quality of Saxon education. Of the 402 Einer graduates, 343 came from general education high schools, 42 of vocational high schools and 14 from technical colleges.

A look at the statistics

according to statistik.sachsen.de The results of the Abitur exams are a clear indicator for the educational level in the Free State of Saxony. It turns out that the education system in the region is extremely powerful - a reason more to think about the future of Freya and Theo.

In a time when the educational path seems primarily determined by grades and degrees, the two graduates take their fate into their own hands. "I have plans that go beyond the classic courses," says Theo determined. Freya and Theo are two of many who show that there is always a different way, even if the Abitur was completed with top marks.

In view of the complexity of the individual decisions, it remains to be seen which ways the two ultimately take. However, one thing is certain: you have the stuff to choose the right one for your future and maybe inspire the next generation of talents.
