FSV Zwickau: Fans are starting their season preparation with great enthusiasm!

FSV Zwickau is picking up momentum! Today, June 19, 2025, the club started preparations for the new 2025/26 regional league season with public training. Around 200 enthusiastic fans gathered in the “GGZ Arena” to support their team and get to know the new faces of the team. The new additions include six fresh players that coach Rico Schmitt has brought into the squad. The focus is particularly on goalkeeper Jasper Kühn, who came from Hertha Zehlendorf, as well as the field players Lennert Möbius, Daniel Haubner, Till Jacobi, Nick Breiten Bücher and Gabriel Figurski Vieira.

Schmitt, who took over the team a year ago and placed them fourth last season, has high goals. At least 60 points should be achieved in the new season. There's something going on! It's not just work on the pitch - sales of the coveted season tickets, which were sold 1,556 times last season, also started parallel to the start of training. The prices remain stable, making support for the club particularly affordable. Members also benefit from discounts and other benefits.

Season ticket sales and special packages

Season tickets went on sale on June 19th at 4 p.m., both at the stadium and online. Interested fans can strike at various times until June 26th and secure their seats for the coming season. The prices for season tickets range between 190 euros for the fan block and 360 euros for the main stand. New this year are the various “cup packages”, which offer fans exclusive offers. These range from special season tickets with limited shirts to special experiences such as a place in the fan bench on the sidelines.

But supporting the club is more than just a season ticket: With the motto "Cup special. Others get trophies. We get the season ticket!" The active fan scene is called upon to invest by purchasing season tickets. This is part of a restructuring plan to avert impending insolvency. Income of around 300,000 euros is planned, which will stabilize the club financially. “If anyone is investing here, it’s us!” is the motto that is intended to motivate the followers to set an example.

Preparing for the new season

In order to optimally prepare for the new season, nine test matches and a major tournament are planned. The game begins with the game against SG 48 Schönfels on June 21st, followed by further games against VfB Pößneck, Ebersbrunner SV, SV Naunhof and SV 1861 Kirchberg. The highlight of the preparation will be the “VW Cup” on July 20th in the “GGZ Arena”, where well-known opponents such as Dynamo Dresden and VfL Wolfsburg are expected.

The anticipation for the first matchday of the Regionalliga-Nordost, which is scheduled for July 26th and 27th, is growing. With a breath of fresh air, new players and passionate fans, FSV Zwickau is well equipped to make a strong statement in the new season and make the dream of a successful season come true.
