Jonas Nietfeld is leaving the HFC: A farewell with many memories!

Hallesche FC is facing a major upheaval, as the chapter surrounding former captain Jonas Nietfeld is now officially over. After discussions between the club and the 31-year-old, it became clear that he would not remain in the HFC jersey, although he celebrated his comeback last season after tearing his cruciate ligament and is about to return to team training. How MDR reports, Nietfeld will therefore not play his 200th game for the club, a special milestone that he can no longer achieve.

Nietfeld, who moved from Jahn Regensburg to HFC in 2019, has been on board as captain since 2020 and demonstrated his versatility in almost all outfield positions in a total of 199 competitive games. He scored 22 goals and prepared 13 goals. But it's not just his achievements on the pitch that make him special. Since his cruciate ligament injury in May 2024, which forced him out of the last third division season, he has fought his way back bravely, which was seen by many as an impressive comeback.

Looking forward to the comeback

Returning to training is an important step for Nietfeld. Loud Kicker he has already completed the so-called “Return to Competition Test”, in which he achieved 90 percent of the required performance. This shows that his rehabilitation is on the right track. If everything goes according to plan, he could be back on the pitch in around four to six weeks.

The HFC is currently fighting in the Regionalliga Nordost and has only scored 28 goals in 18 games, which puts a lot of pressure on the offensive. Nietfeld, as the former top scorer in the regional league, could play a decisive role here. His wealth of experience and his return could give the team new impetus.

Challenge for the HFC

In the midst of a phase of upheaval, the HFC has recently had to contend with various coaching changes. Since 2020, Nietfeld has had ten different trainers, which doesn't exactly contribute to the team's stability. Niklas Landgraf is currently the only player who has been with the club longer. Such conditions make it a challenge for every player to deliver consistent performance.

Despite the uncertainties, Nietfeld is one of those who represents the heart of the HFC. The club will now hope for his return to not only raise the score but also the morale of the team.
