September concert highlights: The Fantastischen Vier and more!
There are some musical highlights coming up in Chemnitz and Zwickau in September 2025 that will make the hearts of concertgoers beat faster. Especially the popular ones The Fantastic Four, known for their ingenious beats and lyrical skills, invite you to the Stadthalle Zwickau on September 7th. There they present their current album “Longplayer”, an event that is a real highlight for the fans.
But it's not just this cult band that's causing a stir. Opened September 5th Pretzel Goering with his band Psychoanalyse at the Lokomov Chemnitz concert series. His solo album “Psychoanalysis (Volume 2)” impressively addresses grief and loneliness, an important topic that will not leave listeners unaffected.
Still exciting acts
A week later, on September 12th, there will be the opportunity to experience the band Billions at the Atomino Chemnitz. Their new album “Lotto” deals with questions of uncertainty and social contrasts, which will certainly earn them a lively discussion in the audience. And when the temperatures drop, Anna Ternheim will bring her “Premonitions” tour with unreleased and experimental songs to the stage on September 24th at the St. Barbara Cultural Center near Zwickau.
The Beton Pop event on September 27th in Chemnitz provides an exciting end to the month. Not only Das Kinn will be performing here, but also Felix Kubin and Pisse with a record release party and a vernissage of the exhibition “Sicht-Beton”. The event focuses on the connection between music and urban life.
The importance of music festivals
Concert events like these are not only a pleasure for music lovers, but also make a significant contribution to Germany's cultural landscape. Around 1,800 music festivals take place every year, covering a variety of genres and together offering around 51,000 concerts. A recent study shows that 60% of these festivals take place in cities with fewer than 100,000 inhabitants and thus make an important cultural contribution.
With an average revenue of €313,000 per festival and only 15% of events making a profit, the festival scene faces challenges that often go beyond music. It is particularly pleasing to see that 85% of the festivals also focus on ecological sustainability and thus take responsibility for the future.
Be there when the stages shake in Chemnitz and Zwickau! Get your tickets in time so you don't miss any highlights - you're definitely looking forward to the concerts by the Fantastischen Vier and other great artists!
