Zwickau City Festival: Music, fun and stars until the end!
The festival is raging in the city center of Zwickau and the anticipation is palpable: the city festival is entering its final round today. Now in its 22nd edition, visitors can expect a colorful program that offers something for everyone. Under the motto "Stars up close. Pure party. YOU in the middle of it!" Guests can look forward to a festival full of music, entertainment and hands-on activities. How View reports, there are exciting performances on the program on Saturday, including the pop star Leony, who was seen as a juror on DSDS in 2023.
Also taking part are the musicians from Swagger, who will provide festive accompaniment to the day. However, Sunday also has a few highlights to offer: The performance of the Small Town Big Band from Döbeln begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by a presentation by the Samurai Sport Westsachsen club, which sets special accents with “Jump Your Style”. For the little festival visitors, the children's program with Okay Tilda awaits you at 3:00 p.m. and an exciting drum-percussion show with "redATTACK" at 6:00 p.m. The crowning conclusion of the day will be a tribute performance by Bryan Adams at 8:00 p.m., which will bring the festival to a fitting close.
Colorful program for young and old
In Zwickau city center, especially at the Kornmarkt and Domhof, there is a diverse stage program that is suitable for all age groups. At 2 p.m., visitors to the Muldeparadies can look forward to a thrill-seeking BMX show by Chris Böhm. Not to be forgotten is the Pancake Theater with Master Blue Button, which promises a humorous performance with “Master Blue Button and the Miracle Suitcase”. At 5:00 p.m., the Project Circus-Tomello will have a family show, circus and acrobatics under the motto “High up and deeply rooted – the spectacle of the elements,” which will captivate young and old alike.
In the world outside the city festival, however, there are reports of setbacks in the pharmaceutical industry. So did MedCityNews Pfizer reported that the drug inclacumab did not perform better than a placebo in a phase 3 trial in patients with sickle cell anemia. This followed the withdrawal of another sickle cell drug, which was withdrawn from the market due to safety concerns. Inclacumab was originally intended to help reduce vaso-occlusive crises, but did not have the desired effect. Pfizer has taken another look at its sickle cell anemia drug pipeline due to these disappointing results.
Wildlife safety
Another topic that is currently agitating people is the safety of household products for pets. In a study on the use of essential oils, as in VetExplain's Articles mentioned, there are concerns about the safety of Air Wick Essential Oils for pets. More and more pet owners are attaching importance to creating safe environments for their four-legged friends, although the dangers of certain ingredients must not be ignored. The use of essential oils is increasing, but it should always be remembered that some oils can be harmful to animals.
Whether at a city festival or in everyday life, safety and joy are the priority. The city festival in Zwickau not only offers a feast for the senses, but also a place for encounters and fun. If you haven't been there yet, don't miss the opportunity!
