Start-up BW Elevator Pitch: Heatpump23 inspires as a clear winner!

Haus der Wirtschaft, Stuttgart, Deutschland - On June 3, 2025, the state finals of the start-up BW Elevator Pitch took place in the Haus der Business in Stuttgart. A total of 15 innovative founding teams from Baden-Württemberg presented their business ideas in front of a jury of experts and numerous spectators. The competition, which has been carried out as part of the start-up BW State Campaign since October 2013, aims to promote imaginative ideas and talented founders.

The main prize of 4,000 euros was won by Heatpump23 GmbH from Heilbronn. With their innovative solution, they convinced the jury and prevailed against strong competition. Further awards went to Karuso GmbH from Biberach, which took second place and received prize money of 3,000 euros, as well as at Innozell from Constance, which secured third place with 2,000 euros. The prize money was kindly made available by the L-Bank.

The participant teams included Abnoba from Stuttgart, Cynus from Freiburg im Breisgau, Envima from Reutlingen, Fara Ai from Tübingen, Heatpump23 GmbH, Innozell, Karuso GmbH, LeafSync from Konstanz, Meinhaus. Rocket Stabilizer from Friedrichshafen, Schall-Dämm-Bolzen from Tettnang, Userwill GmbH from Heilbronn and Weightloss Fitness from Leonberg.

The business ideas were evaluated according to strict criteria. The jury checked the maturity and the quality of the business model, the customer benefit, the unique selling point, the market opportunities as well as load -bearing and sustainability of the ideas. The presentation style also played a crucial role: content, structure, rhetoric, stage presence, passion and the efficient use of the presentation time were carefully examined.

The competition and the startup BW Summit

The start-up BW Elevator Pitch is organized in several preliminary decisions that carry out the partners on site. These qualification rounds take place in various cities all over Baden-Württemberg to enable the most broadest possible participation. For example, the Cynus team with its business idea Sphereone, an innovative 3D mouse that increases productivity through gesture control, was able to take first place in the Cyberlab preliminary decision to qualify for the state finals. Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economics, Labor and Tourism, praised the creativity and ingenuity of the founders and emphasized the importance of support for young companies.

The start-up BW Summit, which brought numerous actors from the start-up ecosystem, also took place on June 2, 2025 as part of the start-up BW Kampagne. Here 125 start-ups from Baden-Württemberg and 39 other participants presented their ideas. Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut emphasized that start-ups make a decisive contribution to innovative ability, economic development and the creation of jobs in the region.

The start-up BW Summit not only offered a platform for pitches, but also a rich exchange between entrepreneurs, investors and conveyor banks. The highlights of the event included interviews of leading personalities and various exciting keynotes. The combination of a trade fair and congress format made the event particularly attractive for everyone involved.

Overall, the competition and the Summit shows how dynamic and diverse the start-up scene in Baden-Württemberg is, and what role innovative ideas play for the economic future. The encouragement and support of start-ups will continue to be a central concern of the state government.
