Wilhelm-Götz-Straße, 70825 Korntal-Münchingen, Deutschland - A 77-year-old man from Korntal was victims of brazen fraudsters on Saturday, June 7, 2025, who have pretended to be craftsmen. These so -called "roof sharks" rang at his door around 10 a.m. and claimed to have to repair the senior's garage roof on behalf of the city. The fraudulent work included the replacement of the old roof tiles for inferior metal plates.

After completing the questionable work, the perpetrators asked for the horrendous sum of 9,000 euros. Since the pensioner could not pay this amount immediately, they drove together to the bank, where he could only raise part of the money. The fraudsters then disappeared in a gray work vehicle. The police in Korntal-Münchingen have now started the investigation and are urgently looking for witnesses who have had similar experiences or have information about the perpetrators.
