Creative autumn workshops in Erfurt: Discover nature up close!

On September 26, 2025, there will be a lot on offer again in the Erfurt museum landscape. The Folklore Museum and the Natural History Museum offer exciting workshops and guided tours that appeal to both children and adults. The events not only promise a lot of knowledge, but also a creative exchange.

In the first row are the workshops in the Folklore Museum. The workshop “Around Paper” will take place on October 7, 2025, led by Helene Dagmar Sommer. This course is suitable for people aged 8 and over and requires a material contribution of just 1.50 euros. Creativity with color and fabric

On October 14, 2025, the creativity continues in the Folklore Museum with a workshop on printing and painting on fabric. Under the guidance of Sybille Suchy, participants aged 10 and over can bring their own T-shirts or bags to personalize them. This requires entry to the museum and an additional material fee of 1.50 euros per person. This workshop is part of the special exhibition "Play Spaces - Play Dreams. Textile Art Thuringia in the Museum of Thuringian Folklore" and provides unique creative experiences.

Also on October 14th, but in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., something very special will be created in the natural cosmetics workshop “Into autumn with roots, herbs and flowers”. Angela Senfab is expecting interested parties aged 14 and over, although children aged 8 and over can take part if accompanied. Here, among other things, forest ointment, cold balm and lip care are mixed together. A material fee is charged for this workshop: 8.00 euros, reduced 6.00 euros, and 2.00 euros with a family pass. If you would like to take part, you should bring empty small containers with you.

Discovery tours for little nature lovers

On October 15, 2025, the Natural History Museum invites you to a children's tour under the motto "Polar bear, tiger and giraffe - who knows about the animals on our planet?" a.
