In the rose garden between Schloss Friedenstein and the Ducal Museum there are also catering stands and cultural entertainment that make the event a feast for young and old.
This is followed by the 19th Thuringia Day, which promises in exactly 250,000 expected visitors. It is celebrated with the Gothardus Festival at the same time, and Kultourstadt Gotha GmbH plays a central role in the organization. The program items will be presented in a press conference on January 30th. Applications for position participants are possible by January 20, and permits or cancellations are expected by mid -February at the latest.
the diversity of Thuringia
Thuringia, also known as the "green heart of Germany", offers a varied landscape with its meadows, forests and nature parks. The region is rich in culture and tradition, which is reflected in its numerous medieval cities such as Arnstadt, Eisenach, Erfurt and Weimar. The state also has a lot to offer through great personalities such as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Martin Luther. Whether Thuringian sausages or onion cake, regional cuisine is legendary. Particular attention also applies to the festival year "1250 years of Gotha", which is celebrated from October 23 to 26, 2025, at the organization of which the reins will also hold in hand.
The Kult tourstadt Gotha GmbH shows with the appointment of Maya Heß that she relies on continuity and renewal and is ready to advance Gotha as a city worth living and experiencing. "We have a good hand for what Gotha needs," says Heß, who is already looking forward to the upcoming events and projects.
