In Thuringia there is a breath of fresh air in the healthcare system: The outpatient medical care foundation has opened a new dermatologist practice in Elxleben. An important step, because the region specific dermatological supply gap in the Sömmerda district urgently had to be closed. The first chairman of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVT), Annette Rommel, emphasizes that 1.5 dermatologists recently remained unfulfilled in the region. The new facility is managed by two doctors: Uta Zell, who has been treating its patients since mid -June, and Julia Blumenstunge, who will be added in October. This ensures that the supply gap will be closed as soon as possible.
