City cycles 2023: Recorded over 184,000 kilometers!
What a great success! The district of Gotha once again put in the pedals in the city bike in 2023. From June 1 to 21, the participants from the district cycled more than 184,000 kilometers. This not only means a new record, but also clearly exceeds the previous year's brand of 150,000 kilometers. District Administrator Onno Eckert is visibly enthusiastic about the high participation and the excellent result of the campaign, which not only promotes climate protection, but also health. According to Gotha Aktuell, the distance covered corresponded to 4.6 earth circuits or the 73-fold distance from Gotha to Lisbon.
