But what is actually necessary to hand in the packaging correctly? The requirements are clear: only well-washed packaging, sorted according to plastic, tinplate, aluminum or flexible material, is accepted. It is also important that bottles and canisters are brought to the collection point without lids and dry. Packaging must bear an original German label, regardless of where it was purchased. Packaging that does not meet the requirements will be rejected.

There is even more to consider when disposing of pesticides. Numerous regulations must be adhered to during transport and storage. The waste management company (AWP) urgently appeals to use the collection points to promote the environmentally friendly disposal of plant protection packaging. Not only does this help the environment, but it also helps sustain future collections. Please note that packaging that has not been rinsed or that has residual contents will not be accepted. Containers with residual contents can be handed in for problematic waste collections.
